Established Legacy

Our Story

"Shuqair Health & Wellness is built on two generations of dedication to comprehensive patient care, physical function, mental well-being, and community."

The Foundation

Our story begins with Sam Shuqair, who completed his physiotherapy training in Amman, Jordan, then earned a scholarship to continue his studies in London, England. After returning to Jordan, Sam became an instructor at the country’s leading paediatric neurology hospital, sharing his expertise with new clinicians.

Sam later immigrated to Canada, first spending six months in New Brunswick before settling in Sarnia, where he worked at the former Sarnia General Hospital. He went on to work alongside Michael O’Mahony, and eventually took over the long-standing OHIP physiotherapy clinic originally run by Jack Howden. This clinic is the foundation of what is now Shuqair Health & Wellness.

The Next Generation

Following in his father’s footsteps, Sal Shuqair studied physiotherapy in England, completing his degree at the University of Brighton. He worked for six months at a hospital outside London, then shadowed at Allen Physiotherapy, a well-respected sports clinic with John Allen in Guildford, before returning home to Canada.

Sal graduated in 2017, qualified to practice in Canada in 2020, worked at ptHealth/Lifemark, and joined the family clinic in 2021.
