How does this relate to Function First?
At Shuqair Health & Wellness, our individualized Function First approach starts with your concerns, functional goals, assessment and response to care. Selected movement principles, such as practising coordination, adapting exercise to a task and progressing activity, may be relevant to your plan. Their use does not require adopting every Functional Patterns theory or imply that the methodology is superior to other rehabilitation approaches.
Movement variation does not automatically mean dysfunction. Goals may include walking, household activities, work, recreation or other tasks that matter to you. Exercise choices should fit your abilities, circumstances and rehabilitation needs.
Understanding the limits of a methodology
General exercise benefits do not establish the superiority of a particular training system. Claims about posture, pain relief, hormones, digestion, anxiety, longevity or neurological conditions need evidence appropriate to the specific claim; this article does not present them as verified benefits of Functional Patterns.
Shuqair Health & Wellness does not claim official affiliation with or endorsement by Functional Patterns. Its methodology and materials belong to their creators. Your physiotherapist may discuss selected educational material case by case, with context relevant to your care. General education does not replace assessment or establish the cause of symptoms.
